About the Space
This Horseracing Museum consists of a traditional sporting palace which formerly belonged to Charles II and was built in the mid-1650s. We also have a recently refurbished slightly more modern building which holds some of our galleries, a former yard with glass atrium and corridors linking repurposed stables. There is a horse yard dating back to 1903 which has been refurbished and is used for our on-site horses, of which there are 4-6 at any given time. We are on a 5 acre site in the heart of Newmarket, Suffolk, with a large outside area, with horse arena and stand, as well as paddocks, parking and an on-site farrier. Please note that the published rate and minimum # of hours to book are flexible and it depends on the type of event, days of the week, timings & number of guests. So, it would be best to enquire if you are interested. The venue may have a separate cancellation policy. For further information, please ask the Event Manager.
