About the Space

Our Rock & Roll Eatery is a community based venue and licensed restaurant, established in 2010 with a focus on creating a space for performers and artists of all kinds. The decor is unpretentious and eclectic, owner operated in the heart of Strathcona we offer use of the space for everything from live music/DJ's, pop up dinners, meetings, conferences, cooking classes, fashion shows, art shows, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, film screenings & wrap parties. Projector and projector screen available upon request. Full PA with microphones/stands & monitors. House sound person available. Full kitchen & bar services included in rental. We also take food & menu requests. No outside food or drinks permitted. If requesting caterers brought in, the rental rate will be adjusted to compensate for our loss of revenue. Caterer must be professional, licensed & insured. We do allow a bday cake brought in. We have recently opened up our hours to accommodate for any afternoon luncheons or get togethers. Please note our Capacity is 100 if wanting to book a weekend night. Attendance should be 60 - 80+ For smaller bookings we advise booking a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.     Such a great venue with great staff. Lana is great to work with and her staff were friendly as well. They kept our guests fed and happy! The space was perfect for our Twin Peaks themed party, which was going for Roadhouse vibes. The stage was a great size for the full band, and we were able to project a video that added to the atmosphere. We probably had about 40 people in the space and while it could have held more, it didn’t feel too big or too small.

    Lana is very kind, accommodating, and quick to respond to any questions you may have. I had a private birthday party with live music, and Mark the soundman was very helpful. Everyone that works there is very lovely, and I am so happy that I had my birthday there. Thank you so much!

    This is a beautiful bar. The manager is very nice and helpful. I was there shooting a short film and he helped us muting the fridge noise and my actors got along with him.

    Recently booked Lanalou's for a surprise birthday for my husband. Lana was an exceptional host who was friendly, accommodating, and responsive. Pricing for food and beverages are extremely reasonable and delicious! All the guests had a great time :)

    So grateful for Lana opening her space to us and being an amazing host. Staff was helpful, kind and fun. The bar was exactly what we were looking for, as a great venue to have drinks, listen to music and dance for a surprise birthday party. A bunch of our friends asked me about renting it for their own parties. Would definitely recommend and will rent the space again if we can!

Food and Beverage menu available upon request, we are also open to requests and suggestions. Food catering from a licensed commercial caterer acceptable upon review. Tables can be rearranged to suite your needs.
