Whether you are looking for a magnificent backdrop or a historic property in which to set your period drama, this grand country house offers the perfect setting. With its magnificent interior and Capability Brown designed parkland, it’s no wonder that we are one of the Cotswolds’ most inspiring shoot locations. This 18th century Palladian house is a favourite for photo shoots, TV and feature films with film sites indoors and outside in the gardens. The house has been featured in television historical dramas and live opera performances, some of the most famous productions being ITV’s Ruth Rendell’s Mysteries and the BBC’s ‘The Marriage of Figaro’, Father Brown and other documentaries. The scope at our venue as a filming location is endless, with a wide variety of beautiful and historic rooms to film in as well as picturesque grounds. Rooms available for filming include the Saloon, Monkey Room, Library and Great Hall – grand spaces full of antique furnishings and lavish detail. The grounds are just as impressive, boasting far-reaching views out towards the Chilterns. In terms of access, we can cater to a variety of needs, including helicopter-landing facilities on the estate, if required. The vast grounds also allow plenty of space for crews – with ample parking for large production teams. Other amenities surrounding our venue, which include the nearby stable block, lake and polo ground. These can be used by special arrangement. We also host events.
