About the Space

Our House c. 1925, Los Angeles Historic Cultural Monument #861, with the Mills Act. Built by noted architect Clarence J. Smale, AIA, this Mediterranean and Spanish Revival style historic beauty is a stunner. Built up and away from the street, and filled with light, thanks to all the large gorgeous arched french windows and doors, this home has all of the Hollywood glamor of the 1920's - original light fixtures, high ceilings, crown moulding, wood floors, a gorgeous wood burning fireplace in the luxuriously spacious step down living room, formal dining room, and breakfast room which opens to the back patio. Large kitchen and dreamy butler's pantry with copper sink, original cabinetry and gorgeous marble countertops. There's also a guest bedroom and full bathroom downstairs. Upstairs the palatial primary bedroom suite has romantic french windows, a very large walk in dressing room plus another walk in closet, and bright spa like bathroom. Two more bedrooms that share a bathroom upstairs, plus a sun room and an outdoor sleeping porch overlooking the backyard. The deep yard is landscaped for privacy, with a vine covered pergola for outdoor dining, a built in fire pit, and a large garage with high ceilings that would be perfect for a studio or office.

    Bruce was extremely accommodating when it came to filming at his place, he let us scout multiple times and sent multiple pictures throughout the booking process. On the shoot day it was a breeze to coordinate with bruce and his team and the instructions for filing in and out were extremely clear. Thank you Bruce!
