About the Space

Nutmeg State Comfort is conveniently located in Westbrook, CT right off of exit 64 on highway 95. I reside in very safe, beautiful, and quiet neighborhood (you'll find that "hold for sound" will not be called out as often). Amtrack and commuter train stations are located close by, and there are tons of nice reasonable motels and restaurants with take out options in reach. I’ve been in the industry for almost 10 years as an actor. I'm more than happy to run lines with your cast. I’ve also worn other hats in the industry. I'm a writer, producer, have some location scouting experience, a strong financial background, and I've assisted in casting on many projects. I’ve been on numerous film sets so I feel completely and at ease in the environment, and you and your cast and crew will definitely feel the same. I have a spacey 1 story open floor plan with a nice sized master bedroom and 2 full bathrooms. There’s an enormous unfinished basement with unlimited opportunities as well. I’ve had crews film here before and the shoots went like clockwork. I’ll be onsite and available at all times, but out of the way and extremely mindful when the camera is rolling. Unfortunately I can only accommodate 20 (can be a little flexible on this) cast and crew members. I do request that the call sheet is emailed to me each day so I know the filming schedule. And I might even know some of the cast or crew from past projects. I will need to see proof of insurance. I prefer the standard 1 mil policy. I take your safety very seriously. A first aid kit is always available, fire extinguishers are in close reach, and there’s tons of working flashlights .Your crew is free to move any furniture or items in the house to shoot as long as it’s put back in its place. After each production wraps I will have my home professionally cleaned so you can be confident that you'll be working in a sanitary and clutter free environment. I do have a senior basset hound, but she’ll be kept out of the way. She does require a mandatory meet and greet during meal times. Wi-fi is always available, and there’s plenty of parking. I also have a generator incase of a power outage. I have 2 queen sized comfy beds, and can provide lodging for up to 4 people @ $50.00 per person a night. I'm available for drops offs, pick ups and errands at .65 a mile and a $15.00 service fee, and $15.00 per hour after the first hour. If any of your cast receives a self tape I can read for them, and film and edit it for a flat $25.00. If the actor also needs coaching the rate is $50.00. Actors can pay me directly. Unfortunately emergencies do come up in the entertainment world, and cast or crew member may not able to make it to set. I have access to a huge local network of industry professionals that can step in if needed. Finders fees are $50.00 per replacement. Pre-production scouting is 100% welcomed at no cost, and if my home is not suitable for your project I will completely understand. Crew members such as directors, cinematographers, etc. may come by before production to drop off equipment, shore up shot lists, etc. as long as its not getting in the way of another project filming here.
