About The Sea Gypsies
With their provisions packed and the sails set, Travis Maclaine (Robert Logan) and his two daughters embark on a six-week voyage into the Pacific, with reporter Kelly (Mikki Jameson) in tow for company. Unbeknownst to the crew, young African-American orphan Jesse (Cjon Damitri Patterson) manages to stow away aboard the boat just before departure.
After a number of peaceful days at sea, a monstrous storm suddenly engulfs the yacht, causing it to sink off the coast of Alaska. With no means of rescue forthcoming and with few supplies, Travis and his companions must fight for survival in their makeshift campsite on the shoreline.
As days pass by, Travis becomes increasingly desperate as he begins to contemplate how they can escape this isolated land. They manage to get news from a radio and learn that search operations have been suspended due to a loss of hope in finding them alive.
