About Once Upon a Time

From 2011 to 2018, ABC aired an American fantasy drama TV series called Once Upon a Time. The creators and producers were Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz. Its ensemble cast included Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Morrison, Lana Parrilla, Jared S. Gilmore, Robert Carlyle, and Colin O'Donoghue. Each episode typically features two segments. One segment details the characters' past, revealing how they are connected to the curse and its consequences. The other segment takes place in the present and offers similar insights but with a different outcome.

The series follows the adventures of Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison), who is drawn to a small Maine town called Storybrooke by an enigmatic 10-year-old boy named Henry (Jared S. Gilmore). She soon discovers that the city is inhabited by characters from fairy tales and other stories living in the "real world," unaware of their true identity when the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) casts a spell over them. Emma begins to discover her past and break the curse by reuniting the characters with their lost memories. In its seventh and final season, the "real-world" portion of the story occurs in Seattle, Washington, in a fictitious neighborhood known as Hyperion Heights, with new main narratives led by adult Henry (Andrew J. West) and his wife and daughter.

The first season received positive critical response, with a "generally favorable reviews" score of 66 out of 100 on Metacritic. Once Upon a Time was nominated for various awards across its seven seasons. It was nominated for Favorite New TV Drama at the 2012 People's Choice Awards but lost to Person of Interest. At the 40th People's Choice Awards, the show was nominated but failed to Beauty and the Beast. It also received a Best Network Television Series nomination at the 38th Saturn Awards, and Parrilla was nominated for Best Supporting Actress on Television. However, both awards were lost to Fringe and Michelle Forbes, respectively.

Emma at Granny’s Diner scene in Once Upon a Time

Cannery Cafe, 3711 Moncton St, Richmond, BC, Canada

The scene at Granny's Diner symbolizes Emma's (Jennifer Morrison) and Henry's (Jared S. Gilmore) growing relationship, with this particular scene showing how far their bond has come since Emma first arrived in town. Red (Meghan Ory) serves Emma hot chocolate with cinnamon at Granny's diner. This particular hot chocolate with cinnamon is a recurring theme throughout the series, significant to Emma and Henry. Later on, it turns out that Henry was the one who guessed that Emma preferred her hot chocolate with cinnamon because he also liked it.

Then, Henry asked Emma to walk him to school. While walking, he noticed that Emma was about to bite an apple.
