We threw a party at the GAM Gallery to celebrate my wife's 30th birthday. The space was really great, and I would certainly rent it again. For events, there is a counter space which worked great as a bar.

We hosted our annual community Breakfast with Santa at the Annex. It was a wonderful space for a community gathering with Children. Although due to the weather we didn't use the backyard and were unable to use the basement which made it a bit crowded at times but there was plenty of chairs available to seat all the adults. Claudine was amazing to deal with, I was able to view the space prior to our booking to prepare for the Holiday Party and communicated promptly. Would definitely use the space again, especially for large family gatherings & in the spring/summer with better weather.

We wanted a place away from our office for our Christmas party. I've been to this BATW location for coffee and lunch and several occasions and was happy to see it was available to host our event. While it was a little snug once everybody had arrived, the staff were obliging and helpful in shifting the tables around to better suit our needs. They have bar service, which helped immensely, and they let us bring in our own food. We can be a little loud and boisterous when we get together socially, but the staff were gracious and accommodating, even when it became obvious we'd be there after the pre-arranged cut-off time (my apologies once again). I highly recommend Motion as a space for a private function. It's a fun and funky venue, and great value for the location.

We put together a "pop-up" gallery party. There were other listings, but Mark's gallery seemed just right. And it was. It is exactly as shown in his pictures—in fact, the space feels bigger than it appears in the photos. It was clean, brightly lit and open as expected—next door there is a very helpful associate who was there when needed, but left us alone, even though we invited him in. Another bonus is that there are several shops very close by for food/beer/wine/etc. Mark was very easy and enjoyable to discuss the details with. In fact, the party goers, artists all, wanted to know all about the space for any future event they might hold. Highly recommended.

I rented the Gam Gallery for my fiancés 30th surprise birthday. The space was clean, bright, and unique. Julia was quick to respond to my emails right from the beginning and communicated extremely well throughout the whole process. I would definitely rent this space again and would recommend it to anyone looking to rent a space for any kind of celebration, an art show, or a pop-up shop.

I held a wonderful event in this space. Dan was communicative, flexible and super helpful before the event which made planning from outside of the city that much easier!
