This location offered a variety of rooms that we were able to use for different scenes for our short film. The host was very accommodating in terms of our schedule and usage for other areas in the building. Would definitely recommend checking this space out!

The host was so kind and generous, the place just like the pictures. Charming old building with good lighting and many rooms for options. The only downside is that if you’re recording dialogue for a video, the street can get loud and busy. Other than that, planning on using the location again soon!

I booked this venue for an off-site meeting for my team and it was incredible. The home itself is clean, modern, and fit 8 of us very comfortably. Naomi was a fantastic host who was quick to respond, accommodating, and overall great to communicate with. I will definitely be booking this location again for our next meeting.

The home was truly an architectural masterpiece. It was very well kept and surpassed me and my crews expectations. It amplified the quality of our production and really tied into the aesthetic we were going for. As for the host, Naomi was more than accommodating and her hospitality was above and beyond what anyone could expect. She was resourceful, patient and very insightful. Me, and the entire Klean Sneaks team is extremely thankful for being given the opportunity to use this beautiful space! I’d highly recommend this space to anyone looking for a unique, sharp, and inspiring home.

About Rooftop Receptions

Real weddings with a perfect backdrop like the New York City skyline, Kansas City skyline, the San Diego Bridge, and more can become better than reality show TV. Couples can exchange vows on an open air terrace with panoramic views on rooftop spaces.

A rooftop wedding venue can vary from intimate to large, depending on the couple's chosen style and theme. Many hosts and planners also suggest rooftop wedding venues for the serene setting and natural light. A rooftop venue is also the perfect outdoor space for cocktail hour and bridal showers. The flexibility of the outdoor space can make your rooftop event the event of the year.

Couples enjoy a rooftop wedding venue offering stunning views of the downtown Willis Tower, sweeping views of the Empire State Building, the sands at Miami Beach, or lush greenery. Such venues are the perfect space to host live entertainment and catering.

Wedding guests can enjoy an incredible sunset while being present at your wedding for the important elements. Apart from the views and celebration, the food and drinks served at rooftop venues are usually quite fabulous.

The Best Rooftop Reception Venues

Organizing a rooftop reception is a great way to make any corporate events or gatherings special with panoramic views. With stunning city skyline views and fresh air, many types of venues can host a successful rooftop reception.

  • Historical Landmarks
When it comes to historic landmarks, there's usually something majestic to look at. What could be better for a wedding and reception venue located at a historic landmark? Couples can opt for ballrooms, incredible architecture, breathtaking countryside views, and more. Many landmarks will also provide space inside if it rains on the big day.

  • Skydeck Lounge
Skydeck Lounge is at the top of one of the city's tallest buildings, boasting some of the best views in town. Guests can enjoy sweeping panoramas from a terrace bar and cozy seating areas perfect for conversation and mingling. Many of these venues offer a stage for performance, a DJ (based on square feet available), a small music show, and more.
  • Rooftop Terrace
An elegant rooftop terrace is an ideal location and offers an incredible backdrop for your event. The open-air atmosphere allows guests to enjoy stunning views while enjoying an exquisite menu prepared by professional chefs. Plus, the terrace's natural beauty allows one to create dreamy photos that will be cherished forever.
  • Private Clubhouse
Private clubhouses are in demand with couples for weddings, and corporates for their gatherings and parties. While a clubhouse may not have a rooftop venue located, there is a high possibility that you may find one or two that offer this service. The wedding ceremony at a private clubhouse can be quite premium with good quality alcohol, food, and service.

What to Look for in Rooftop Reception Venues

The best rooftop wedding venues offer indoor and outdoor event space. The indoor space includes floor to ceiling windows, and room for the next event to be away from inclement weather. A rooftop wedding venue should have the perfect spot for exchanging vows, enough space for guests to mingle, and a place for seating.

  • Space
When planning an event, ensuring more than enough room for your guests is essential. Nothing is worse than feeling cramped in a stuffy space, especially when you're supposed to have fun. Ensure each guest has ample space to move around freely and mingle comfortably. And if you're considering any catering or entertainment components, such as a DJ or live band, that take up space too - so keep this in mind when reserving a venue.
  • Views
Choosing a venue with stunning views of its immediate surroundings can transform an otherwise mundane reception into a memorable experience. Be sure to select a rooftop space with plenty of natural lighting and beautiful vistas.
  • Amenities
Many rooftop wedding venues offer amenities for couples renting the space. Check if your finalized rooftop venue offers equipment and seating. If you have a summer or winter wedding planned, you may also need heating/ air conditioning or a cooling fan. Some venues also offer chairs, serving tables, and more at a rental price.

  • Security
Finally, ensure the rooftop reception venue is adequately secure with safety protocols for both yourself and your guests. Consider hiring experienced security staff and also check whether access control measures are in place so that uninvited guests cannot enter the premises without permission from the host or authorized personnel.

Rooftop Birthday Party Venue Inspiration

A rooftop venue is a fabulous spot to host a birthday party. Most rooftop venues are used for an indoor and outdoor wedding space. They are great for rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, and birthday parties. Since the experience is quite unique, a special event at a rooftop wedding venue can be just what you need.

  • Host an al fresco dinner
Get creative with the food menu at the wedding venue by featuring canapés, miniature tacos, or sushi. As you watch the sunset before you while dining on the roof, create a romantic atmosphere with string lights and fresh flowers that will make it magical.
  • Transform into a dance floor
With beautiful cityscape views, a rooftop space provides an elegant setting to host your first dance as a married couple. Rooftop wedding venues ensure plenty of seating for guests who would rather relax and watch from above.
  • Build an outdoor lounge area
Your guests will love having areas to mingle and catch up throughout the night. Many rooftop venues provide comfortable lounge furniture like couches and chairs so everyone has enough space to move around. Add whimsical elements like hanging plants or lanterns to create an inviting atmosphere.
  • Incorporate outdoor games
Set up some lawn games like corn hole or horseshoes to keep your guests entertained throughout the night at the wedding venue. Include other fun activities like balloon popping or photo booths that everyone can enjoy after dinner.

  • Create a DIY photo booth
Utilize the gorgeous skyline view behind you by setting up your makeshift photo booth using balloons, props, and brightly colored backdrops. Have every guest take turns playing photographer as they capture all the special moments from your big day. A Chicago rooftop venue can help elevate the occasion with photo booths during cocktail hour, special events, and more.
