Setting up a video studio space in New York City can be the leading lady in any production. Sometimes it is challenging to know where to start planning photo and video shoots in The Big Apple. Here are a few accessories to get your photo shoot, music video, or film project focused.

Camera Bag

Lighting

Good lighting equipment will make all the difference during a film production or photo shoot. It will give your music video or product photography a professional touch, highlighting the parts of the subject you wish to emphasize and darkening the parts of the shot that need less attention.

Props

Give your film or photo shoot some authenticity with a few props to set the scene. It can be as big as adding foliage or fauna, or as small as cups, lamps, and a pair of glasses. Pros and Cons of Video Studio Spaces in New York

Renting a production space in New York City has perks, with some downsides. Here are a few pros and cons of picking an NYC film studio as your project setting.

Advantages

  • Tons of opportunities
With a population of over 8.3 million, the diversity means New York, NYC, is a one-stop shop for any project. The city has a film studio available to execute any imaginable creative pursuit.

  • Safe city
While New York might have a reputation for being unsafe, compared to other major cities, it is one of the safest. There is crime, for instance, around the gritty East Williamsburg area, but not at the rate one would expect from the largest city in America.

  • Tons of art and culture
When a melting pot of cultures and imagination meets at this scale, it produces sensational art. It's true on the small, local scale, and grand international theater world.

Disadvantages

  • Get lost in the mix
It is easy to get lost in the competition, with millions of people in the city. Stay focussed on your goals, and if you have a limited budget and can't use numerous locations, pick a studio rental with a green screen cyclorama.

  • Get used to crowds
If three is a crowd, what is 8 million? These buildings, streets, and sidewalks are teeming with crowds, and you can solve this by working on your production in a film studio. You can kill two birds with one stone with a site decked with green screens.

  • Dirty city
People make trash, and the litter in the NYC streets, subways, and alleys is unyielding. It can make your on-location shoots challenging, but a studio with green screen technology enables filmmakers to produce diverse projects depicting numerous locations in one setting.
