So you’ve said “yes” and popped the bubbly to celebrate. Now it’s time to get down to the nitty-gritty of planning your wedding. One of the most important vendors to consider is a wedding photographer, who will be responsible for transforming all of your moments into beautiful memories.

For Milwaukee-based couples, we’ve done the hard work of finding the city’s best wedding photographers, so all you have to do is take your pick.

Laurelyn Savannah Photography

Laurelyn Savannah is a Milwaukee-based fine art wedding photographer who works with couples “who can't imagine not having wedding images that you love.” Her photos serve as a reminder not only of your special day but the reason why you got married in the first place.

Not only does she document all of the big events that take place during your wedding but the smaller moments that make it so special. Laurelyn’s images have been published by “Wisconsin Bride Magazine,” “Style Me Pretty,” and “Grey Likes Weddings,” to name just a few.

Uttke Photography & Design

Uttke Photography & Design is the team of TJ and Shannon Uttke who consider themselves “anti-wedding industry photographers.” While they love real love, they also love real weddings that are “honest, unscripted, and sometimes happen in the rain.” So their ideal clients are couples who share this vision and aren’t afraid about taking risks or creating new traditions.

In addition to weddings, Uttke Photography also shoots engagement and maternity sessions, newborn babies and dogs, as well as offering corporate branding photography.

RJ Harris Photography

RJ Harris Photography is a team of talented Milwaukee-based photographers and videographers, led by the “pretty simple, sometimes goofy, and always professional” James. Not only are they all incredibly passionate about their craft but they have the experience to deliver images that we know you will love.

James is assisted by Mika and associate photographers Rick, Mauneese, and Anthony, as well as portrait specialist Lee, planner Michale, and photo booth manager Donovan.

Ari Rosenthal Photography

With weddings their specialty, the team at Ari Rosenthal Photography brings considerable experience and expertise to your special day. While the team is led by Ari, there are seven other photographers at the studio, each with their own style and aesthetic. They not only capture gorgeous images but can help to maximize the flow of your wedding and ensure things run as smoothly as possible. Most of their business comes from word of mouth, which is a testament to the exceptional client experience and professionalism they deliver.

Amanda Evans Photography

While Amanda Evans has been passionate about photography since a kid (she asked for a camera every Christmas and birthday), it wasn’t until she had worked several traditional jobs that she found her way to the craft professionally.

It was after having her first child that Amanda began to pursue photography so she could stay at home as a mom and this quickly developed into a full-time career due to demand from her clients. She says that it is her family that inspires her to create and capture beautiful memories for others.

Brad Ryan Photography

While Brad Ryan grew up in Milwaukee and spent much of his life there, it was while living the simple life on Maui that he fell in love with photography. He ended up spending a month in the desert of Arizona studying with his photography friend Neal Kreuser, which eventually led him to shoot weddings throughout the United States.

Today, he is one of the top wedding photographers in Milwaukee and leads a team that includes videographer David Shulta, second shooter Peter Wagner and assistant Liz Seonbuchner.

Grace Creatives

Alison Grace Kroenig is the brains behind Grace Creatives, a photography business that calls Milwaukee “home”. She describes herself as an “adventure enthusiast and lover of simplicity” who adored flipping through photo albums as a child to “relish in the memories that had been collected.”

After graduating from college in 2012, she moved to Colorado where she worked as an elementary teacher, although the dream of being a photographer never left. She realized this in 2019 upon returning to the Midwest where she has established a reputation as one of Milwaukee’s most in-demand wedding photographers.

Double You Photography

Katarzyna is the owner and lead photographer at Double You Photography, which specializes in weddings and lifestyle portraits. She describes her style as raw and real, with a passion for documenting life as it is and catching moments as they unfold.

Kat’s portfolio is filled with beautiful emotions, from genuine laughter to romantic interactions, which are now preserved forever. In addition to shooting weddings, she also captures family portraits, newborns, and editorial imagery.

Front Room Studios

Front Room Studios is a team of Milwaukee-based wedding photographers who have been telling stories for the last 20 years. They say that their approach to photography is not just about documenting your wedding but your entire love story, revealing to the world exactly why you chose each other.

Aside from wedding photography, Front Room Studios offers family portraiture sessions that are easy and stress-free, as well as being engaged by local businesses for branding and commercial work.

Kate Weinstein Photo

Kate Weinstein is here to remind you that your wedding day will go by so fast and all of those “priceless jewels” that you pack into a few hours will amount to the best day ever. But when it’s all over, the one thing you’re really going to want is beautiful images documenting everything that took place as a reminder of the wedding that was. At heart, Kate says she is a storyteller who sees each photo as a work of art and an integral part of your story.
