Details for a Spanish Style Wedding

You can create so many looks with a Spanish wedding style, whether you want a pure Mexican vibe, a vintage Spanish look, or one with a bit of boho flair. You could go for a garden theme, decorate a ruined building, transform a loft, or convert any indoor space. Just make sure your choice of colors, food, and designs exude Spanish at all times.

A Spanish-style wedding is your chance to blend the wonders of a traditional wedding and a more modern approach. From your wedding flowers to your table setting, throw your classy touch into the nostalgic atmosphere. The beauty of vintage and Spanish art and culture will be magnified through this wedding.

Food for a Spanish Style Wedding

Paella is one of the most popular delicacies from the very rich tastes of the Spanish people. If you’re going for a Spanish-style wedding, this rice meal can be your reception’s main dish. There’s something about the Paella that gives people a refreshing feeling and a sentimental experience. You and your groom should channel this magic from this Valencia-native intricacy.

Your dessert pantry must not be exempted from your showcasing of the lavish Spanish lifestyle. Spoil your guests with sweet and delightful churros. Be creative with the dips. You can go for strawberry jams, chocolate syrup, and more. You could prepare additional wedding food like seafood menus to satisfy your guests’ cravings.

Table Setting Style for a Spanish Style Wedding

Grace your tables with classic white floral linens, and go for a solid combination of white and pink utensils. A Spanish-style wedding calls for an overflow of flowers. But with your table setting styles, go for a minimalist touch. Some greenery and frames on each table will be enough to delight your guests’ eyes and senses.

Your table setting decor should echo the rich Spanish culture your wedding wants to achieve. Add a Mediterranean flair with red cocktail drinks topped with lemons. You may put these wine glasses on colorful placemats. Your paella bar and churros pantry will put your table setting styling to the test. Just keep things simple and graceful.

Dresses & Accessories for a Spanish Style Wedding

What’s great about a Spanish-style countryside wedding theme is you don’t have to stress so much about wedding dresses and accessories. Latin fashion puts emphasis on personality over lush clothing and accents. So, bring out the hand fan and hypnotize your groom with your hair and captivating eyes.

Feel awesome and comfortable at the same time with a timeless column wedding gown. Then wear a pretty flower hairpin to emphasize your charm. For the bridesmaids, let them pick something casual like a flowery top paired with a black skirt. With these choices of apparel, you could bring the elements of the old Spain culture to life.

Groom Style for a Spanish Style Wedding

There’s no need for the traditional tux and tie for a laid-back Spanish groom style. He could last the entire wedding ceremony without a bowtie or a necktie and still look dashing on your big day. With a pretty boutonniere to match the black suit and pants, the groom looks handsome and joyous beside the gorgeous bride.

A bit of color helps unleash the majestic beauty of a vintage garden wedding in classic Spanish style. So if you aren’t a fan of black suits, how about blue or dark green instead? Like the bride, the groom can be free from the hassle of fussy accessories as he only needs to carry his most confident self on the aisle and during the reception.

Wedding Invitations for a Spanish Style Wedding

Wedding invitations for a Spanish-themed wedding are some of the most interesting anyone could ever see. The font choice is almost childlike, but this design makes sense when you experience the laid-back atmosphere of a countryside wedding with Spanish flavors. Also, the choice of colors and accents resound vintage, treating those invited to a captivating experience.

Choose Spanish as your language or feature your favorite quote in the invitation cards to create that perfect Spanish impression. Select cursive fonts with bigger font sizes for your and your groom’s name. Keep the same text colors to maintain the classic vibe you are laying down for your wedding.

Wedding Cake Ideas for a Spanish Style Wedding

A four-tier white cake is best for a Spanish-style wedding. Make your reception cake look more riveting with an abundance of floral accents. At the lowest tier, put white floral decors to blend in with the cake’s color perfectly. From the top tier to the third, adorn the wedding cake with colorful blooms like peonies and roses, as well as succulents for hints of greens. You can also add a pretty white flower accent to magnify the beauty of the red flower designs.

The flowers surrounding your cake will mimic the sophistication of classic Spanish beauty. Combining red and white will give your wedding that timeless richness of the Latin culture.

Portrait Props for a Spanish Style Wedding

The classic steel chairs will give your wedding photos the vintage Spanish vibe, while a brick wall can make for a perfect backdrop to capture the 70s-style wedding. You may add printed Spanish texts to your chairs and your photo area in cursive fonts for an added sense of classic Spanish artistry.

An old farmhouse or ranch element would make for a great portrait prop. An all-light brown door’s hue on a mint blue wall provides the laid-back but elegant ambiance you and your groom want to share through your wedding photos. To complement this environment, add flowers in neutral colors in the background.

Ceremony Decor for a Spanish Style Wedding

For your ceremony, surround your wedding venue with flowers of a different variety to amplify the Spanish culture of your decorations. You may go for regular choices like roses and peonies, but you could add your personality to your selection of florals. For a more tropical touch, adorn your flower arrangements with a lush teepee.

Frames are another significant component you could infuse into your Spanish-style wedding. Hang frames with messages of love and gratitude for your guests in Spanish texts. Shower your altar with more flowers and greenery to symbolize your anticipation for a fresh start. Accentuate your aisle with petals and hanging orchids to complete your Mediterranean wedding experience.

Outdoor Wedding Ideas for a Spanish Style Wedding

A Spanish-style wedding calls for an outdoor celebration of love and hope. Give room for a vintage ambiance, where flowers, greenery, and classic exterior home designs light up the mood. An outdoor party allows you to set up a cigar bar – something the Spanish culture is quite known for. And for a more contemporary approach to this classic theme, your reception should be mostly outdoors, too.

When selecting a wedding venue, go for a rustic location where the sun magnifies the beauty of nature. Also, you could choose a venue with a pond or a fountain for a complete garden or countryside experience.

From Ashley at White Rabbit Studios – “Spain is known for its magical backgrounds, savory food, distinctive music, pretty lace, and so much more that makes it one of the most romantic countries in the world. Kathleen Bernal Events teamed up with myself and many other incredibly talented vendors to create this vintage Spanish styled shoot to help inspire and accentuate Spain’s unique character.

From using castanets (“castañuelas”) for seating cards in a traditional Paella bar, the team brought elements of old Spain to life. Lace, Spanish tiles, and Marsala and ivory tones were the inspirations for the shoot. A manly cigar bar was created for the groom and his friends.
