Lavender and Silver Wedding Inspiration (reader request)

This, my dears, is a very special reader requested wedding inspiration board. Why? Just read what Keila emailed me:

“We’ve decided to have a 25th wedding anniversary and vow renewal for my parents since they never had a wedding. It’s a big deal. It’s next month – crazy I know! But I need some inspiration. I’d like to present your board to my mother as the reveal of her surprise gift! Did I mention my mom doesn’t know? I’d love it if you could put something together to incorporate traditional silver to represent their 25 years together and I thought maybe lilac or another pretty and appropriate colour for March. We’re planning to do the reveal on the 1st of March. I’m sorry  to just drop this crazy request in your lap so last-minute, but I was super excited and just decided to send the email!”

Isn’t that the sweetest email? Who could ever say no to this? OF COURSE I’m going to put together an inspiration board for Keila and her parents and I’m beyond honoured to be a small part of this celebration. I asked Keila for a few words about her parents and she had this to say (get your tissues ready, this is probably the sweetest thing you’ll read all month):

“My parents are my inspiration and fountain of hope. Like many marriages, my parents have faced their ups and downs. But I have never witnessed anyone embody LOVE like my parents. I don’t mean just knowing how to keep romance alive, although that is awesome all by itself. I have been impressed and forever marked by their ability and more important – their willingness to be honest, even when it means a fight; to support one another when no words or actions are exchanged, just a silent presence. I have been changed by their practice of FORGIVENESS & COMMITMENT in the face of weariness. They have taught me to love, not just my husband, but my son, my sisters, and my friends. You know a marriage is special when it changes the lives of everyone around them. I can’t think of anyone who deserves this celebration more than you do. Congratulations Mom and Dad and thank you for teaching us how to love!”
