What to Look for in a Venue for a Destination Wedding in Tuscany

If you are asking your guests to travel all the way to Italy for your destination wedding then you simply must arrange an outdoor event! The beauty of Italy should be praised and enjoyed, thoroughly. Since Italy is one of the most common destination wedding spots, there are quite a number of fantastic outdoor locations for you to choose from.

This couple opted for a Villa wedding, in Tuscany, packed with gorgeous greenery. It gave off such a vintage and rustic kind of vibe that we couldn't help but exclaim with awe. Imagine the numerous forms of decor options you can come up with. With a classic black gate, this wedding venue looked like something straight out of a movie!

Bouquets and Boutonnieres for a Destination Wedding in Tuscany

For this destination wedding, an exotic-looking assortment of flowers was put together for an added charming effect, and of course, to complement the bride's attire.

Here, you can see a bouquet made of a combination of peach and pink flowers. For a whimsical touch, a single white anemone was added in the center. Lots of sage green foliage was used to complement the beauty of the wedding venue.

The bouquet made the bride look like a queen of nature. This exceptional bouquet is one of the most charming and well-put-together flower arrangements we've seen in a while.

Wedding Cake Ideas for a Destination Wedding in Tuscany

The presentation of a cake (or any food item) speaks to a person more than the taste. After all, it's the first thing that your guests notice as soon as it is served. A top-notch wedding cake LOOKS appetizing, the taste comes second.

This couple chose a three-tiered basic white wedding cake designed to fit the theme of their wedding. Even though the style is common, it's the decor that makes it look so sweet and elegant. Fresh flowers topped this fresh cream cake in pink and peach with a side of berries. The texture of the cake scraper on this sweet treat gave it a raw and delicious appearance.

Wedding Dresses and Accessories for a Destination Wedding in Tuscany

Every wedding is special, but there's just something so enchanting about a destination wedding that you want every detail of it to be exquisite. A wedding dress is hands down one of the key highlights of your wedding ceremony, as it makes you feel and look beautiful and confident.

The happy and beautiful bride in this wedding inspiration wore a classic, wedding ballgown. The bodice of this net dress was thoroughly embroidered while the rest of the dress flowed beautifully down to her feet in fluffy ruffles. For a finishing touch, an ivory rose-shaped belt was draped at one side. What a masterpiece!

For accessories, she wore a handcrafted floral headpiece that was an exact match to her bridal bouquet. Talk about art and creativity!

Ceremony Decor for a Destination Wedding in Tuscany

For the ceremony decor, the wedding planner started with the classic floral wreath, made of pink and peach flowers with some added greenery for the entrance door. The location had rustic and vintage elements, creating an old-school vibe, so the vibrant splashes were refreshing and eye-pleasing.

Rustic benches and tables were also customized with florals and there were a couple of wooden markers for the guests, tucked in the green plants. Pretentious and showy decorations were not required as the lemon trees, flower pots, and antique corridors served as great natural décor and made the wedding venue look effortlessly beautiful.

Food for a Destination Wedding in Tuscany

Italy is known for its rich taste in food. It's the originator of a number of special dishes not to mention our all-time favorite, pasta! Imagine serving it at the wedding.

At this ceremony, the meal started by serving small portions of homemade pasta with cherry tomatoes and zucchini. This delicious treat was followed by a mouthwatering plate of roasted veal with a side of sautéed vegetables.

Italy is also known for producing some of the best cheese in the world, so a variety of cheese on cheeseboards was also kept as a side dish. And lastly, for the dessert, the couple sliced the tasty cake!

Table Setting Style for a Destination Wedding in Tuscany

Rectangular wooden tables were set up for this lovely wedding ceremony and a crochet tablescape was spread out over it. Flower vases adorned the table as centerpieces. A couple of small, aesthetic bird cages and tiny, artificial bird paperweights were placed on the table for the napkins and greeting cards.

This wedding organizer won hearts by creating a handwritten menu board and placing it on the side of the table. Plain white dinner plates with silver utensils were organized neatly alongside some crystal glasses. Overall, the table decor was filled with unique elements which left the guests gushing for a long time.

From Anais Stoelen – “I envisioned creating an ethereal wedding inspiration shoot / bridal portrait session filled with romance and tenderness to inspire brides all over the world. On the Tuscan hillside of Fiesole in Italy I had the chance to do exactly that.

Together with a team of dedicated artists we created this ethereal editorial at Villa Di Maiano – it was a dream location! Everything about this estate whispers romance, from the old prison to the cellars, lemon trees, beautiful garden fences, architecture, and of course – olive trees.”
