Diane Lewis is an award-winning pet photographer who left her career in finance to become a full-time artist in 1998. She says that doing what she loves is “like a dream come true,” with the opportunity to photograph so many wonderful animals and their humans. Her aim? To capture “something special” about your pet and create a portrait that you will cherish forever.

Many of the lessons Diane learned about animals were from her rescue dog, Bailey, who taught her “to always be kind, to make friends wherever you go and to always follow your passion.”

Tara Lynn is the owner and photographer at In Between the Blinks, which specializes in photographing pets and their people. Originally from Chesapeake, Virginia, she studied at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before settling in Raleigh in 2011 where she worked in the television news industry. Five years later, she left her career to pursue her passion for pet photography and hasn’t looked back since.

Tara says that through her photography, she wants to tell stories that capture the transformative power of love and “create change on behalf of humans and animals.”
