Give us a snap shot of your career to date

Started as a hotel trainee manager at Rydges World Square. After completion worked at Reception desk for half a year and as Reception Team leader for another half year. Started as a conference and events coordinator been in this role for 1 year and 3 months and then promoted to conference and events executive.

The most memorable event you have worked on and why?

The Saint Patricks day Christmas party. It was the biggest Christmas party ever held in the hotel. The event had lots of different requirements which made it exciting, interesting and a lot of fun!

What did you ‘learn the hard way’ when planning an event?

How difficult it is to setup 300+ chair covers can be with sashes.

What are three personality traits that are required to succeed in the events industry?

Being organised, positive attitude and flexible.

If you could share one piece of advice to those starting out in the industry what would it be?

Being organised is a must! Your team relies on you.
