Best Fine Art Photographers in Baltimore

How do you know a fine art image when you see one? Is it the technicality behind the shot or the creative vision…or perhaps it’s just a gut feeling?

No matter how you identify “fine art photography”, there are photographers in Baltimore who will rise to the challenge. In this article, we’ll introduce some of the best talent in the region who meet our definition.

Lauren Preller Fine Photography

Lauren Preller is a fine art photographer who digitally transforms her images into artworks. She has worked as a professional photographer for more than 20 years, with the last 12 of those focused on digital art. Her current project involves designing unique Art Maps that reflect the topography of local areas and places of importance for families, organizations and businesses. Her work has been quoted as doing “everything artwork should do for architectural spaces: reinforce the spatial character of the space and provide visual interest with relevant images without merely being decorative.”

Fred’s work has been recognized with awards from the Maryland Professional Photographers Association and the Professional Photographers Association of America, as well as being exhibited at the Epcot Center. In addition to his fine art imagery, Fred also teaches photography workshops focusing on composition and lighting techniques.

Kimberly Zerfas Photography

Fine art wedding photographer Kimberly Zerfas says that she is constantly searching for ways to convey the splendor of the world around her to others. She fell in love with photography in her high school darkroom and has since shot everything from weddings and mitzvahs to family portraits and food.

Kimberly loves working with “creative, free-spirited, and adventurous couples” and the opportunity to capture candid moments that illustrate the truest versions of themselves. We particularly love her beautifully arranged compositions, skilled use of natural light and subdued color palette.

Jenna Davis

Jenna Davis is a Baltimore-based fine art wedding photographer who has been in the business since 2012. It was while working as a server at weddings that she decided she wanted to transition into photography while seeing “how beautiful and creative you can be with couples” and “the joy on their face when they receive their final gallery”. Through her work, Jenna doesn’t want to just provide clients with beautiful fine art images but offer them an experience in which they feel “respected, valued, and heard”.
