Details for a Colorful Ranunculuses Wedding

Naturally, the colorful Ranunculuses arrangement has given us ideas about the A-to-Z of planning a wedding in technicolor. Picture pulling together all the colors of the rainbow in a creative and beautiful way for the big day. Bright colors and patterns exude a cheerful vibe, and that's precisely the kind of atmosphere you want for your special day.

The bright and colorful wedding trend isn't new but we can draw specific inspiration from the Hoje é Especial floral design. It works for a couple who want to step away from the conventional neutral tones to explore bold, vibrant, and perhaps quirky color palettes.

Color Palettes for a Colorful Ranunculuses Wedding

Lifting the hues right out of the floral shoot, the suitable wedding colors for a vibrant and pigmented occasion include apricot, pink, burgundy, white, green, orange, and cream. They represent the natural hues of the Ranunculus flowers, and the shoot also introduces a blue, white, and yellow patterned print that blends perfectly with the color palette.

The range of hues is versatile and would translate well when fused into just about every aspect of the big day. We can also visualize how the clear acrylic vase and the walls of the old railway stations in stages of ruin would inspire other elements of a colorful Ranunculuses wedding.

What to Look for in a Venue for a Colorful Ranunculuses Wedding

A colorful Ranunculus wedding can work in tandem with other wedding themes. For instance, you could have a colorful retro affair, a rainbow-colored fairytale, or a colorfully glamorous event. With that in mind, you can also convert just about any wedding venue into your ideal pigmented haven.

With prompts from the shoot, a Ranunculuses wedding would come to life better at a historic building for a vintage touch, a beach location for a tropical vibe, or a hillside venue for the magical charm. Imagine what an outdoor event that would be! A rainbow of pastels would also work for a vintage, rustic, or bohemian-themed wedding hosted at a barnyard or farmhouse.

Reception Decor for a Colorful Ranunculuses Wedding

The vibrant and colorful palette of the Ranunculuses also gives us ideas of how adding dashes of pigment around the reception venue would create a sight to behold. Picture an oversized balloon installation setup against the backdrop of a show-stopping green foliage wall. The table placements should follow suit with different-colored chairs enhancing the theme.

Take it a notch higher with multi-colored streamers and ribbons hanging from the chairs, ceiling, or trees around the wedding venue. Bold multi-colored prints for the linen, different-colored lanterns, neon signs, and smoke bombs in rich hues are other ways to introduce zesty pigments into your reception.

Food for a Colorful Ranunculuses Wedding

Multicolored menus, seating charts, and place cards are worth exploring for the table setting. Colorful candles or bright-colored flower centerpieces complete the look for a colorful Ranunculuses wedding.  Fruit cocktails would suit a tropical-themed event while presentations of tantalizing dishes with explosions of color are suitable for various colorful nuptials.

Have a naked cake topped with berries and selections of pigmented flowers. A cake covered in all-white fondant also presents an endless list of possibilities when it comes to dressing it up as a colorful treat. From hand-painted patterns to berries and edible flower toppings; a colorful wedding cake will definitely be the icing on the cake.

Wedding Dresses & Accessories for a Colorful Ranunculuses Wedding

Most brides prefer to settle for a classic white wedding dress but the daring woman can embrace colorful gowns. A particularly eye-catching, and perhaps a unique option, would be to rock a gown with a highly pigmented tie-dyed bodice pattern or a similar colorful detail on the skirt.

A bright-colored underskirt lining is yet another alternative for the bride who wants to keep it traditional. Also, bring in the bright and pigmented aspect by donning rich-toned shoes and accessories. Statement necklaces and fun bracelets are the perfect choices for this type of wedding. Flower headbands are perfect choices for vintage and bohemian chic weddings.

Bridesmaid Dresses for a Colorful Ranunculuses Wedding

Go the full yard with the bridesmaids' outfits and truly embrace the colorful Ranunculuses wedding theme with each member of the bridal party donning a different colored outfit. Shades of blue, yellow, and pink would look great teamed up with the bride's white wedding gown. In this case, outfits fashioned out of chiffon, satin, silk, or organza suit different aesthetics.

Another alternative is for the bridesmaid to don neutral-colored outfits paired with colored accessories. It's an equally lovely touch to have each bridesmaid carry different-colored bouquets. Stealing the pattern on the old railway walls is equally worth considering for the bride who wants to go with printed outfits.

Groom Style for a Colorful Ranunculuses Wedding

The groom can also keep it traditional by donning a regular neutral-toned tuxedo. The colorful aspect can come in bits and pieces like wearing pairs of colorful socks, rocking bright and fun boutonnieres, and completing the groom’s wedding attire with a vibrant-toned bow tie. Again, the fashion-forward gentleman can choose a bright-colored suit, and burgundy is often a suitable choice for such occasions.

Once again, the blue and white pattern on the old railway walls also translates well for the men’s outfits. The men in navy suits, white shirts, and yellow suit squares would create a dapper appearance for the groom and his groomsmen.

Bouquets & Boutonnieres for a Colorful Ranunculuses Wedding

The bride simply must walk down the aisle holding a bouquet of Ranunculuses similar to the arrangement seen on the shoot. Ranunculuses are not the only ideal wedding flowers in this case, and collections of bright-hued posies would equally brighten up a colorful affair. Bright ribbons used to tie the bouquets complete the look.

Colorful buttonholes for the groomsmen made up of a combination of miniature-sized blooms would be perfect for this theme. A combination of lollipop scabiosa, green hellebores, wintry roses, succulents, mini tulips, and herbs are wonderful choices for boutonnieres. For the centerpieces, go for colorful selections of peonies, dahlias, roses, and hydrangeas.

Wedding Invitations for a Colorful Ranunculuses Wedding

Colorful wedding invitations are brightly different and they also give guests a sneak peek of the festivities ahead. Extend a cordial invitation to friends and family by sending invites created using fun, bright stationery sprinkled with confetti. Colored envelopes, or even multi-colored options, are a welcome sight.

It also doesn't hurt to hit the nail on the head by coming up with custom wedding invites for the occasion featuring a Ranclusus floral print. Include petals of the colorfully vibrant flowers in the envelope to further give hints about the occasion. Choosing the blue, yellow, and white pattern print for the envelopes is also a great touch.

Colorful centerpiece with ranunculuses and roses

Today’s floral design shoot is such a special one. Sara of home é Especial lives in northern Portugal with her husband Filipe and they’re on the hunt for an old, charming building to restore. During their search they came across a beautiful railway station and it inspired today’s centerpiece design!

It truly showcases the motto I’ve always kept in my mind while working on this blog – that inspiration can come from anywhere.

From Sara of Hoje é Especial – “When creating floral designs, whether it is bouquets, table arrangements, or something else the first step I always take is to think about the kind of vibe I want to create. I am inspired by everything that surrounds me – art, buildings, natural elements, or constructed landscapes and of course the work of people who I admire.

Then, in my head, it begins to take shape – the colors, the textures, and the dimensions eventually translate into concrete ideas for flowers, greens, and ribbons and the ideal container to give birth to my creation.

I’m always very attentive to what surrounds me and like to use tree branches or local wild shrubs in my arrangements because it is a way to enhance the natural heritage of each place and reduce the cost.”

“For this arrangement I wanted to create a springlike and romantic design and to use ranunculuses because they are one of my favorite flowers. The color palette came naturally from the colors of a Portuguese ranunculuses bunch. They bring different warm tones from red to yellow and pink and worked well with my concept.

To break these warm tones I used spring branches that served as a backdrop to highlight the wonderful colors of the ranunculuses. For texture and romance I used roses neutral tones and eucalyptus foliage for a muted green. As a final touch and for a vivid element that draws the eyes, a purple ranunculus was included.

When I style arrangements I like to use contrasting elements and put together things that you wouldn’t necessarily think of as an obvious match, so I chose an old vandalized railway station to photograph the flower arrangement. I love the romantic feeling of old buildings and this one in particular because of its Portuguese tiles on the walls and arcade outside.”
