This autumn berry wedding is one of the prettiest we’ve ever seen. The bride’s headpiece of gorgeous berry coloured blooms and the luscious berries seen in many of the images set the stage for an absolutely beautiful ceremony and reception.
We love the wedding table, and we feel it would perfectly suit a wedding in Birmingham! Imagine your historic venue with these berries and decor. The silver centrepieces in the form of tall vases, short vases and those in between, along with stunning candle holders decorate the berry covered table. The dessert table continues the theme with berry topped waffles, a delicious layered cake and more. Berry hues and silver are incredible together. Take a look!

Details for an Autumn Berry Wedding
Taking in the beautiful photos and gorgeous details from Julia Winkler Photography's autumn-inspired shoot, we once again found ourselves teleported to an enchanted modern fête. The seasonal splendor brought about by the fallen leaves of autumn, vibrantly texturised blooms, and intensely-coloured berries conjure up a woodland-inspired wedding.
Sprinkle some dust of fairytale magic, and what you have is the recipe for an unforgettable autumn berry wedding. The berry power is enamoring in itself but when fused with the warmth of the pigmented seasonal flowers as well as the touches of silver, it exudes the sense of a magical medieval festivity unfolding in the present day.
Colour Palettes for an Autumn Berry Wedding
The burst of colours created by combining seasonal favourites provides a reference colour palette. We are talking about strawberries, raspberries, plums, grapefruits, pomegranates, and figs. The gorgeous dark tones that would work well for an autumn berry wedding colour palette include dark red, burgundy, purple, white, and green.
Selections of autumn blooms as well as the wooden furniture introduce some warmth. We also love how they went for varying shades of richly pigmented blooms intertwined with green foliage for the floral arrangements. The medieval charm shines through the touches of silver as seen with the grand flower vases, cutlery, and other various decorative elements.
What to Look for in a Venue for an Autumn Berry Wedding
Maybe it's just us but looking at these photos we imagine this wedding taking place at a medieval town square. Bringing it to the 21st century, you can create a custom enchanted wedding venue by commandeering a selection of gorgeous spaces. Depending on the overall look you are going for, a meadow, barn, or garden would suit this theme.
The beauty of autumn is best experienced from an outdoor wedding venue. Picture having the ceremony at a sheltered space and then moving outside for an al fresco-style reception. Both activities can also take place at different outdoor spaces specifically dressed up for the occasion.
Reception Decor for an Autumn Berry Wedding
There are so many elements that capture the spirit of splendor which is truly the backbone of an autumn berry wedding. The thoughtfully curated editorial shows us how bringing together gorgeous seasonal details sets the tone for a romantic and aesthetically-pleasing occasion. We’re completely in love with the taller-than-tall flower vases and candle stands.
A few details lean more towards the gold-tone but overall, it reminds us of a time when silver held great value. The decorative deer head accents and fruit bowl equally reflect the medieval silver grandeur. Simple wooden barn-style chairs further enhance the magnetism of the autumn-inspired wedding theme.
Food for an Autumn Berry Wedding
The stack of waffles topped with berries serves as the wedding food guide for a pigmented autumn affair. Such a refreshingly delightful occasion should naturally include a sweet menu with selections of baked treats. Take the berry obsession to the next level by offering guests berry-flavored drinks and chocolate-covered strawberries.
A berry-covered cake is also a befitting dessert for the occasion, and the editorial proves that simplicity always wins. An alternative is a cake covered with a plum-coloured fondant and topped with sugar vines as well as wildflowers. Most nuptials skip the dessert because there's wedding cake on the menu, but you can go for both, and sweet pie is a great choice.
Wedding Dresses & Accessories for an Autumn Berry Wedding
An autumn berry wedding is the bride's runway, and hence why a lot of thought goes into picking the finest threads to don on the lovely occasion. The elegant Kuess Die Braut wedding dress is a lovely choice for fall or autumn nuptials. Little details once again take the win, and that includes the lace sleeves featuring embroidered floral patterns and the pearl necklace.
A traditional white gown is equally befitting and the flowy, airy style strikes the nail on the head for an autumn berry wedding. We’re equally taken by the berry-coloured headband, simply for the fact that it adds a pop of colour to the bride's ensemble and it's also uniquely eye-catching.
Menswear for an Autumn Berry Wedding
We usually don't get too many visual guides when it comes to menswear for autumn weddings. The editorial reveals that a grey suit paired with a light brown cardigan vest and white shirt is a befitting choice for such an occasion. Forgoing a tie gives the ensemble an overall laid-back and free-spirited look which is the right kind of look you want for autumn nuptials.
Alternatives include a dove grey suit combined with a white shirt and paired with a pale pink bow tie or pocket square. A navy and orange pairing is yet another great choice as well as a darker shade of gray.
Bouquets & Boutonnieres for an Autumn Berry Wedding
If you haven't already, watch the behind-the-scenes video showing how the team set up the various elements for the shoot. We were specifically intrigued by the amount of thought and detail they put into the floral arrangements. To further encapsulate the autumn look, they introduced coloured foliage and very berry fruits into the wedding flower design.
Celia Lillies, Leptospermum, roses, dahlias, scabiosa, ranunculuses, and roses are botanical varieties that come in varying pigmented shades. Figs, hypericum berries snowberries, plums, and other edible berries are wonderful additions to wedding bouquets and boutonnieres. We’ll keep raving about the tall silver flower vases because they are undoubtedly one of the highlights.
Wedding Invitations for an Autumn Berry Wedding
A round of applause goes to Frieda Theres and Julia Winkler Photography once again because we have the A-to-Z of planning an autumn berry wedding. No detail is forgotten, including a representation of the perfect wedding invitations for an autumn affair. There's no better choice than the combination of pale pink-coloured stationery and a berry-coloured font.
The same look works for the wedding program, table cards, and any other labels needed for the day. As depicted in the editorial, fill your guests with a sense of warmth by sending them wedding invites accompanied by a selection of autumn flowers. It's a lovely gesture and a wonderful way to give them hints about the big day.
Favours & Gifts for an Autumn Berry Wedding
When it comes to the perfect autumn berry wedding favours, look no further than the silver deer-themed statuettes. Present any bottled or boxed gifts in autumn leaf-shaped packages. As for the bottled contents, maple syrup, apple jam, and cider caramels are wonderful options for fall/autumn weddings.
Packets of seasonal seeds like sunflower, pumpkin, and wildflowers are also a great choice. When it comes to the edible category of wedding favours, mini sweet pies, candy corn, caramel apples, and chocolate-covered pretzels are delightful options. Other befitting favours include mini bottles of bourbon, DIY gardening kits, and autumn leaf-shaped fridge magnets.
Berry and Autumn Wedding Inspiration
In collaboration with the fabulous German / Austrian wedding blog Frieda Theres, Julia Winkler Photography’s berry and autumn wedding inspiration shoot is absolutely stunning. Combining the best of seasonal colours and gorgeous details for days – this editorial truly showcases the beauty of the season.
From Julia Winkler Photography – “In September I had the honour to photograph a wonderful Berry and Autumn wedding inspiration shoot. Ever since first talking to Ellen from the wedding blog Frieda Theres, I was sure that it was going to be gorgeous!”
The berry, plum, raspberry, and fig color palette couldn’t be any prettier for a late autumn or early winter wedding and the rich tones used throughout add so much warmth against the silver touches. One of my favorite details in this entire editorial is the cake table. Those waffles look divine and it’s such a unique addition to any sweet spread!
