Great space and super lovely human who let us in and walked us through everything when we arrived! Only thing that I would mention is that the white backdrop area isn't fully lit by the natural window light. The window extends only part of the way, with the wall covering some of the natural light. Other than that, beautiful space and would highly recommend!

About Houston

Houston is the largest city in Texas and the fourth-largest city in the United States. It is home to a diverse population of more than 2.3 million people, making it one of America's most ethnically diverse cities. The city of Houston has something for everyone, boasting an array of cultural attractions like museums, art galleries, professional sports teams, and performing centers.

Houston has long been known as an energy hub, housing major oil companies and energy research facilities. The Port of Houston is one of the top ports in the country and it has been noted as a key player in international commerce and trade.

Pros and Cons of Micro Weddings in Houston

Micro weddings in Houston are a trend that shows no signs of slowing down and for good reason. Though they may entail fewer people than traditional ceremonies, the pros often outweigh any potential cons. Here's why micro celebrations make sense:

Advantages

  • Smaller and more intimate gatherings can make the celebration feel more personal and meaningful.

  • Micro weddings are less expensive than larger weddings, as there are fewer vendors involved and fewer overhead costs.

  • There is more flexibility in terms of location, food choices, decor, etc., allowing you to create a unique wedding experience that reflects your personal style and preferences.

Disadvantages

  • Micro weddings may not appeal to all guests, especially those who prefer a larger or more traditional wedding.

  • There may be less support and assistance available from vendors compared to larger weddings, which can make the planning process more challenging.

  • Couples may encounter more logistical challenges in terms of venue size, guest count, etc., which may require more coordination and planning ahead of time.

Famous Locations in Houston

  • Discovery Green
With its year-round programming and central location, Discovery Green has quickly become one of Houston’s most beloved Inner-Loop attractions. The 12-acre park, which opened in the spring of 2008, offers a playground, interactive fountains, several gardens, and an outdoor skating rink. In addition to its many amenities, the park also hosts a variety of events nearly every day of the week, including free exercise classes, concerts, movie nights, and art installations. Discover Green has something for everyone, whether you're looking to take the kids out or simply enjoy some time outside.

  • Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens
The Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens is one of Houston's best-kept secrets. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, this spot is an oasis of beauty and peace. The gardens, which were originally intended to be an extension of the house, are spread out in a series throughout the grounds. The sculptures and hedge designs blended in perfectly with the ground's year-round blooms, providing a tranquil escape from Houston's bustling Inner Loop. In addition to the gardens, the Bayou Bend Collection houses Houston's paintings, furniture, and decorative art collections. The pieces are stunning, and the experience of visiting the Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens is one that you will not soon forget.

  • Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern
When most people think of Buffalo Bayou Park, they picture the lush green space, scenic walking trails, and iconic public art. However, there is another great attraction hidden underground: the park’s cistern. Originally a water reservoir for Houston, this underground cavern is now an acclaimed architectural site. So many towering columns fill the space that it takes 17 seconds for an echo to bounce off the far wall and return to you. The reservoir was created in 1926 and, for many years, provided water to the city through its complicated system of pipes. However, an irreparable leak developed over time which led to it being decommissioned in 2007 and abandoned soon after. A few years after it had been abandoned, the cistern was found again during the development of Buffalo Bayou Park. The picturesque quality of the gritty, industrial space has made it a go-to destination for local artists and photographers.
