Advantages

Tips on How to Organize Dated Events in Dallas
Organizing the perfect event at a dated location in Dallas is no easy feat. With so many factors to consider and consider, it is important to be as prepared as possible and ensure you have all of your bases covered. Here are several tips on how to prepare a dated location in Dallas for hosting an event:
- Research the venue thoroughly: Before deciding on a date location, research the area thoroughly. You’ll want to ensure the place has all the necessary amenities, such as power outlets, restrooms, parking spaces, and adequate seating. Additionally, consider whether or not the area has enough room for your expected event size and if it meets any health codes or regulations.
- Choose a theme: Choosing a theme can help to set the look and feel of your event while also creating an atmosphere that will attract guests. Consider factors such as color schemes and decorations when selecting a theme or motif for your venue. Make sure to shop around for vendors offering affordable options that still bring quality results for whatever look you’re looking for.
- Hire professionals: Hiring professionals such as caterers or entertainment can significantly enhance any event. Catering can provide guests with delicious food options, while entertainment can keep them entertained throughout the evening. When hiring professionals for professional services such as security, vet their experience and qualifications since they will be responsible for keeping your guests safe during your event.
- Set up logistics: Logistics include setting up furniture rental companies, creating ticket sales systems, providing transportation options (if needed), setting up registration areas, planning signage throughout the venue, arranging emergency personnel if needed, etc. Additionally, consider what technology—such as sound systems—will be needed during your event and plan accordingly before arrival day.
Famous Locations in Dallas
- Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Dallas Historical Marker
Deep Ellum was, at one point in time, the home of the Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Dallas. This particular company received franchise rights for the distribution of Coca-Cola through bottles before many other companies were granted this same right. On June 10th, 1902, the company produced its first-ever bottle of Coca-Cola. Just three employees were needed to operate and sell 37 cases that day. The team delivered the product in a one-horse wagon and reused bottles - which had to be cleaned by hand with steel pellets before being filled again. From its small beginnings, the company grew to become the largest employer in Dallas and one of the largest Coca-Cola bottlers in the world.
- The Tower Building & Rotunda
The Tower Building is one of the most iconic structures at Fair Park. The building was originally intended to serve as the Federal Building for the 1936 Texas Centennial Exposition. At 179 feet tall, the Tower Building was the tallest structure at the event and served as the geographic center of the celebration. It housed 35 exhibits advertising various government agencies and featured four murals in the rotunda depicting different regions of the nation. The building was first renamed the Electric Building in 1954 and featured a large, working clock as well as light-up letters spelling out the new name. Sometime later, it increasingly became known simply as the Tower Building. In 1998, artist Robert Marshall cast an exact replica of the gold eagle originally perched on top of the tower after the original had become too worn down to restore. The Tower Building is a Fair Park landmark that continues to amaze visitors from around the world.
- Big Lake Park
