Jump right to the textures. Textures are a great way to add visual effects and dimension to your photos. Photoshop and layer blend modes make it easy to compose images and add textures as overlays. The textures can then be tweaked (resized, rotated, blurred-up, etc.) to fit your photos just right.
These free Photoshop textures are from real photographs that I took. That means that they will give your photos a more organic and realistic look compared to using computer-generated textures.
You'll see a mixture of different texture styles, but for this free texture pack I've decided to include a majority of grunge textures as well as textures that look like dust and scratches. This way you can give your images that grungy or vintage look.
These textures can also be used for other things like as backgrounds for music album cover art. In fact, I'm also sharing a collection of album cover backgrounds based primarily on these textures via muted.io, which is another web project of mine.
