About the Space

We are a community museum located in a building that lived many lives. There are excellent views of Okanagan Lake from our parking lot, which is shared with the local chamber of commerce. The building is a one-story construction of mixed materials. In 2021 we put a new facade on the front to mimic pioneer streetscapes. The north end of the building has a mural of early fruit-packing facilities. Adjacent to this there is a log cabin that is an interpretation of fur trader homes. Inside the museum, there are three areas. The main room functions as a lobby and reception area including a substantial wooden cubicle. Another room is designed to look like a barn and contains exhibits about pioneer industries. The third room has exhibits about early stores, clothing, schools, and everyday life.
