Our House on Maple
Favorite
Share The home sits on a large, corner lot that was originally part of a 120-acre tract staked in the Oklahoma Land Run. Built in 1909, the home has many of the original elements intact, such as a double mantel, Tiger Oak fireplace with coal burning insert, original gingerbread, ornate glass front door and much of the original hardwood flooring. The parlor is now the dining room. The kitchen features an antique kitchen cabinet and coffee grinder. The attic bathroom features an antique, claw foot tub. The date the house was built and the home builder's initials are stamped in the woodwork in two places. The front yard features a white picket fence and rescued, wrought iron gate, as well as a fish pond and sitting porch. The back yard has a covered double deck and garden. There is also a side yard that is essentially empty; owners are willing to negotiate its use.
