This house is a brick Greek Revival southern classic. The brick was at one point painted white but it has faded and peeled to enviable perfection. Built in 1939 by a lumber yard owner the house has double height columns with roof and hanging lantern. Curved wrap around drive as well as a side drive sheltered by double row of crepe myrtles. The driveways are dramatic as they were built literally for a horse drawn carriage. Original doors, windows, elaborate moldings and tiger oak floors make the space original and charming. The house overlooks two acres of English garden rooms complete with a full fireplace and chimney. The drives and yards were designed and built for the wedding of the previous owners’ daughter so feel like a country club or estate.
