45 acre estate near Wright Woods Forest Preserve in Mettawa IL. Very close to Lake Forest, Vernon Hills, and Libertyville and slopes down to the Des Plaines River. Thirty of the 45 acres are agricultural but will be being re-developed so could be used for whatever you wanted. The main house is 7,000 square feet and not updated complete with fire houses inside and a dumb waiter. The house looks out over the farm property along with a huge backyard "everything the light touches" we say! Other structures on the property include a small 3 bedroom house, modern craftsman style workshop and equipment barn. The property was just purchased by our family but we plan on tearing the house down so anything goes with what you wanted to do to the house. The home is not furnished but does have basic utilities, a wine cellar, a pool that is most likely unusable but could probably be fixed up. Any additional questions please feel free to contact me.
