Charming Old World Community Library in Former Bar
This independent experimental library has been used as a location for scenes as a coffeeshop, apartment, and (of course) a library, as well as staging areas for cast, crew and craft service during outdoor shoots in and around Humboldt Park.
In the Reading Room, you'll be surrounded by the most eclectic collection of Chicago-crafted books, newspapers, magazines, comics, zines, artist books, journals, plans, novels, chapbooks, and cookbooks. The 600 square foot Reading Room has been called “cozy and welcoming” by the Chicago Reader, and yet is very flexible with chairs and tables that fold and a ramp for easy equipment load-in.
The 1,000 square foot Exhibition Room (in the process of being photographed) is adjacent and has access both from outside and through the Reading Room. This room is a combination of dark turquoise walls, exposed brick, and glass block, with dark carpeting. It also has an exposed beam timber ceiling, as well as flexible furnishings and a moveable stage.

Lakeview Getaway - Historic Charm in Chicago
My recently updated apartment is in one of Chicago's hottest neighborhoods (Lakeview). The building was built in 1884, before this area was formally annexed into Chicago (in 1889)! While records no longer exist, the building has been converted several times since then. You'll see from the photos that it's been updated quite a bit boasting modern furniture and amenities. While refreshing this space, we kept an eye on preserving original details to give you a unique blend of historical charm with modern conveniences. We look forward to hosting you and your group!

Vintage meet Contemporary:Open plan, Tons of light
A soothing and well-balanced condominium with loads of charm in the established Chicago neighborhood of Hyde Park. This space would be great for movie, video or photo shoots as well as intimate events (concerts, book club, small party).
Nestled two blocks from Lake Michigan, this condo is in a 3 story walk up with a greystone appeal but contemporary features. The unit is bright and open concept with a living room, dining room, kitchen and reading nook.
A long hallway ushers you to the stunning master bedroom with a thought provoking chandelier. The room is the capstone of the home which is an urbane retreat. Throughout the home are stylized details that echo some vintage, collected and historical pieces.
Impeccably designed with geometric shapes, smoothe lines and soothing color palletes. There is a spacious back patio as well. The flow of this home is pallatable and consumes all guests in a rich relaxation.

Looking for a fixer upper or abandoned building?
This is a wonderful 6 flat apartment building, around 100 years old, in need of much repair. The front of the apartments have beautiful French Door Windows, and the lighting is so wonderful. The back of the apartments were demolished after the flood from the storm. 4 of the units are unfurnished, but we are flexible, and could provide furniture if desired.
The building is mostly vacant, except for myself and my two big dogs. There are also two huge basements, and 5 garage spaces. If you are looking for a dilapidated old apartment building, or vacant abandoned apartment, search no further. The basements still have belongings from previous residents, and the garage is currently filled with an abandoned car, and items from my friend's storage unit, also looks very interesting. And, if needed, can be cleared out for your project as well.
The front looks like an old castle or mansion. There is a front yard, and a small back yard. The winding stairs and back porches would make for a very interesting scene.
We have been looking for funding for renovations and code upgrades ever since the building was damaged during a wind storm a few years ago. I inherited this from my mom, and my grandparents owned it before my mother.
The Ingersoll-Blackwelder House is located in the Ridge Historic District that includes the Beverly Hills and Morgan Park Neighborhoods in Chicago, Illinois.
It was built between 1874 and 1877 by Morgan Park’s developer, the Blue Island Land and Building Company, for grain broker John E. Ingersoll and his wife, Harriet Ingersoll.
The front of the home is in the Queen Anne style while the back of the home has Italianate elements. The Queen Anne style front was added by the subsequent owner after the Ingersolls, Morgan Park Village President Isaac Blackwelder. Mr. Blackwelder served as a chief of the Western Department of the Niagara Fire Insurance Company of New York. His wife, Gertrude Blackwelder was a founder of the Morgan Park Women's Club and a member of the community's school board. She was the first woman to cast a vote in a local election.
The Ingersoll-Blackwelder House is considered a contributing building located within the Ridge Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
