BRIGHT HOUSE was built in 1928 by Al Capone for his sister, we were told by the city. It is a unique & attractive space that's great for small events of up to 50 people. When we purchased it, it had been a photography studio. We turned it into an eye care biz ~a decade ago, but COVID shut downs & the inability to find reliable help forced us to close in August 2022. Now we're creating a lovely, versatile space there for small private parties & events.
The main entrance leads into a ~15' X 30' reception desk area & patient lounge. Then there's a 12' X 15' room with a large window (this room can be closed off with French doors), and another 12'X10' room that has a long counter & small sink, perfect for buffet/potluck style meals. There's a fully functional kitchen as well, with French doors that go out to a deck & a back yard. There is one public restroom with a bidet & one "private" staff bathroom with a shower. Soon there will also be a 30' X 20' room with high ceilings & great acoustics, that can hold ~50 people for small weddings, dances, concerts, acoustic jam sessions, open mic/karoake, yoga/tai chi classes, laughter yoga, guided meditations, drumming circles, Tibetan singing bowls, etc. This room also has a large stone-faced gas fireplace, a big windowed wall & a separate entrance/exit to the back yard. The tree-filled yard is great for outdoor events. There's a gazebo nestled in bamboo & a beautiful pond/waterfall feature with a simple bridge that was designed for photo shoots.
