About the Space

HISTORY The house was built in 1900 by an Italian Contessa and has a rich history. The famous Spanish cellist and composer Pablo Casals played recitals in the Music Room. The lawyer who fought the Hays Code that banned the Czech silent film 'Ecstasy' in the US in 1936, which featured the first nude scene ever in a film by Hollywood starlet Hedy Lamar, lived in the house.     Great experience working with Vagabond. The communication and booking was prompt and clear. When we arrived, the house was set up as requested. There was a designated staging area with rolling racks, tables and everything we needed for HMU. The driveway is huge and accommodated our whole team. Vagabond was on site all day to assist with any requests we had to rearrange furniture, provide supplies, recommend lunch. It was a stress free experience at a stunning location! I would highly recommend.
